Synopsis
In 1941, SS colonel Hans Landa, the"Jew Hunter", interrogates French dairy farmerPerrier LaPadite as to the where abouts of the lastunaccounted-for Jewish family in theneighborhood. Under threat of continuedharassment from the Germans, LaPadite revealsthat the Dreyfus family is hidden under the floor.Landa orders SS soldiers to shoot through thefloorboards and kill the family. All are killedexcept Shosanna, who escapes and flees throughthe field. Landa watches her go, deciding not toshoot her at the last second.In the spring of 1944, 1st Special Service ForceLieutenant Aldo Raine recruits Jewish-Americansoldiers to the Basterds, who spread fear amongthe German soldiers by brutally killing andscalping them behind enemy lines. The Basterdsalso recruit Staff Sergeant Hugo Stiglitz, aGerman soldier who murdered thirteen Gestapoofficers. Adolf Hitler interviews a Nazi soldier,Private Butz, who relates how his squad wasambushed and his sergeant beaten to death witha baseball bat by Staff Sergeant DonnyDonowitz, the "Bear Jew". Raine carved aswastika into Butz's forehead with a knife so hecan never escape his Nazi identity. Series ofevents take place as the film develops whichkeeps the audience enthralled.
