Jalam (Water) is the story of a youngcouple who dreams to own a piece of land. Theywere a part of the Chengara agitation for land andafter some time they receive the offer for land in aremote place in Ernakulam. But their dream shatterswhen they come to know that the documents thathad been handed over to them by the minister werebogus and the land belongs to a private party.Though the support of some good Samaritans givethe couple and their young boy a ray of hope. Fatehas other ideas once Dinakaran, the husband,travels to Chengara to settle things out.
