Synopsis
The use of “Artspeak”, the oftenincomprehensible language used by manycurators, writers, and critics, has alienated muchof of the art-viewing public. The film followsNew York artist Bill Claps discovering everydaypeople’s thoughts and feelings aboutcontemporary art as he develops a videoinstallation and a series of artworks thatcomment on the phenomena of Artspeak. Thefilm follows Claps at work in his studio, in thestreets, galleries and art fairs of New York, andthrough several countries in Europe.
